People I know in Green Bay stood in line for THREE HOURS yesterday.
How do you spell “Republican”? “L-I-A-R.”
“The city is directing all voting Tuesday to take place at East High School and West High School instead of the 31 churches, schools and other facilities typically used as polling places. The move comes after the majority of Green Bay's poll workers said they won't work to avoid potential exposure to COVID-19.”

I am in Green Bay. This is 100% on our mayor and staff. Period. No matter what the state did or did not do, we still had the duty to get ready for an election and completely and horribly failed at that. 400 poll worker trained National Guardsmen stood by to help and we turned them down. We could have had several more polling locations ready to roll.

But of course.

And thanks to Wisconsin's sacrifice, we will have it. Naysayers notwithstanding.
I mostly agree with this but do have some concerns. My mother-in-law has suffered multiple strokes and although she can still sign her name, she has a confused idea of the outside world. Would it be wrong for me to help her fill out a mail-in election form and then have her sign it?
She has previously said that she hopes she lives long enough to see Donald Trump put into prison so I do know what her preference would be.
There is a process in place for those with various disabilities. If she intends to vote, get on the paperwork ASAP. How do you think quadriplegics vote, for example?
And, by the way, completely addled (and drunk, high, otherwise impaired) people walk into voting booths and vote all the time.

I meant by PAYING them to stay at home and teach their children. For instance, someone has 2 kids, and right now makes $15/hour or $600/week. We would PAY them $600/week for homeschooling instead. This is less than we are paying people to be on unemployment and much less than we pay teachers (some of whom could instead go onto unemployment while they are furloughed for the year).
