Trump supporter here. I chuckle a bit when I see comments like this, knowing that I have friends and family who are Trump haters who really don't know where I stand. I let them rant and nod my head, but mostly try to steer the conversation away from politics. How will you know when you get to 100%? When it's just you and your cats?

You're ashamed to own your vote publicly, and you should be.

DP. You misunderstand. The PP isn’t “ashamed” of anything. S/he simply knows when to stay away from crazy. Weren’t you ever taught not to discuss politics (or religion) in polite company? Or maybe it’s just that the company you keep isn’t polite.

Nobody but my husband knows I’m voting for Trump. I like to nod and smile along with what the liberals I know say, so maybe they think I’m one of them. But I’m most definitely not. Politics just isn’t an appropriate topic in public, and I do get a kick out of knowing exactly what I’m going to do when no one else does.

For normal people, political views are a private thing. Only those who enjoy picking fights deliberately engage.

Stop trying to normalize Trump as regular "politics".

When the Trump and the GOP sh1t on the Constitution people take notice. It's not just "politics".

And people talk about it. Quite a bit. If you sit there quietly drinking your wine without saying a peep, we know.

This statement is interesting to me.

I work in what could be considered a liberal industry, with a lot of young, liberal people. I am a die-hard conservative and a Trump voter. It's interesting at times, but we all get along great at work and even socialize some on the weekends.

But I NEVER discuss politics with any of these people. If other people do, I either sit quietly and say nothing or change the topic to something we all agree on. I have never once had a problem with interacting with any of these colleagues and in fact like almost all of them a lot on a personal level. They invite me to their events, too, so I know the feeling is mutual.

Are you saying that they "know" that I'm a Trump voter?

Why don't defend your decision to support Trump? If it's the right thing to do, that shouldn't be so difficult, right?

Rose McGowan is not the same as Tom Hanks or Meryl Streep. So you are the weird one. Do you need someone to draw you a picture?

HAHAHA that you're tracking Rose McGowan. Do you put a calendar reminder to check and see if she's moved yet? Get a life.

That’s a mighty strange comment. Do you know what country say, Meryl Streep lives in? Yes? Are you “tracking” her? How about Tom Hanks? Kim Kartrashian? Are you TRACKING THEM??? Wow.

No I don't give a sh*t where some B list celebrity lives. Carry on with your Intouch magazine though.

I have no idea where any of those people live.

Weird.

Sadly, what I saw in Richmond (as the gun toting 2nd amendment went into the Capitol with weapons of war), it definitely makes you think long and hard. Open season? I don't think so.

Every Black adult in America should have an unregistered gun. History has a way of repeating itself, so Black people need to be prepared when it decides its time for a repeat.

I’m a black liberal and even im considering getting a firearm before VA takes the right away from us.

And I am voting R next time around for the VA gov. I am liberal, but I’m not a fascist like Ralph Northam is...running around in blackface and pretending like it wasn’t him.
Did you see the three weak bills they passed and the one that didn’t. They are not going to take your guns away. You and your children will be dead (after long lovely lives) before that happens.

Yeah, yeah, your 2nd line strongly suggests you’re more likely a trumpster troll trying to sow discord and confusion. No black person in Va (unless you’re a wealthy aa business owner in NoVa, and even those I know stopped after trump) is voting R any time soon.

Exactly this. These people are delusional. They truly have no idea who is voting for Trump.

We know.

No. You honestly don’t. But it’s cute that you think you do.

So you really go around and regularly complain about Trump and then you secretly vote for him?

Uh, no - not sure where you got that idea. I don’t complain about Trump, nor do I praise him. That’s the point. I don’t feel the need to bray in public about who I do and do not support. There are millions of people like this - private. Which is why you simply have no idea who will be voting for him. You act like it’s your right to know, when it’s actually anything but.

Trust me - your silence says a lot. We know...

Clearly, you don’t. You’re going to be just as blindsided in November as you were in 2016. You let your arrogance get the better of you.

No, really. If you are quiet on the matter, we know.

Ah - so anyone who is “quiet” when it comes to politics is considered the enemy to you? Thanks for clarifying. I will continue to remain quiet and hopefully avoid hyper-partisans like you.
-DP

If a group of friends regularly discusses world events and you never say a thing, it's obvious.

And I wouldn't consider you "the enemy" but certainly not someone I respect.

What's wrong with private sales?
