Lauren Liess uses a lot of natural materials and I think her rooms always feel light.

Best thread ever! If you ever decided to turn precise curation of design ideas into a business, I bet it would be super successful (and then you sell it to Houzz...) What about photos of warm white or ivory kitchen cabinets? Perhaps with a bit of a glaze for contrast.

I think you have to use furniture to define the first few feet as your entrance.












You can also use the furniture in your main living area to designate the space by the door as a runway.
