I think Dems learned from the Ben Jealous episode. They will go with the electable moderate, Franchot. It’s the same story in 2020 when Dems nominated Biden.

Never been involved locally on any issue before ever. Never previously held elective office at any level, even his local neighborhood association. Now he wants to be Governor with his only qualification being that he was Obama’s Education Secretary for 18 months and no one even remembers it.

I liked King too. Education is one of my top issues. He probably doesn’t have much of a chance but given the other candidates don’t inspire me that much may as well vote for who I like. Seems like Moore will win regardless.

Same, there were too many candidates for an hour.

I was actually impressed with John King, who had not been on my radar.

Gansler came across as a bit slimy and very much out of touch. Crime is a big issue, but he seemed to make it the only issue.

I am voting for Baker, because he's consistently a good manager. But I realize he likely won't win.

I didn't like the bickering going back and forth, but I get that's pretty typical. Tearing opponents down instead of lifting up their own ideas.

I still do not understand all the love for Wes Moore.

And most of all, they all promised stuff they cannot deliver alone, without being able to work with the General Assembly.


Gansler is unbelievably slimy.

Who says it is needed?

We have a 7.5B surplus right now, and a AAA bond rating. No one is suggesting getting rid of the gas tax, just delaying the next INCREASE.

Cox is Trump-backed which gives him a lift, but I'm hoping Schulz will pull it off. I'd vote for her.

Isn’t Moore from takoma park too?

He was born there but raised in the Bronx since age 4. His big issue is that he pretends to be from Baltimore.

Do they support Gansler or his running mate? I’m in the HVL area and I’m certain that the signs I see are because Hollingsworth is well liked.

I won’t vote for Gansler in the primary because of the beach week party issue a decade ago. Anyone middle aged adult taking photos of drunk people dancing on tabletops does not get my vote.
