Do you have any limit on the number of asylum seekers you think should be welcomed to the United States?
Ask Anne Frank, who was denied a US visa. Oh wait, you can't because she's dead.

Absolutely agree. Americans need to wake up.
Signed an other immigrant.

We REALLY miss the days when liberals believed in supporting our immigration laws.
And, that wasn't too long ago.
I could post clip after clip of video of Obama, Schumer, and even HRC discussing how our borders must be enforced and our border policies must be adhered to.
Guess this is an attempt by the Democrats to import more future voters since they can't seem to get them the legal way.
And, BTW - we are compassionate. And, we also believe in the rule of law.
As long as these people enter illegally and stay when they have been ordered to leave, we are less able to support more immigrants who choose to come the legal way and abide by our laws.
You are full of sh*t. Was Mike Pence compassionate as he crossed his arms and refused to acknowledge the men in cages at the border? Waere Lindsey Graham or Mike Lee? Is separating kids from their parents— and then losing the parents— compassionate? How about jamming kids in cages meant to hold 1/3 of occupants. With no showers or cots. 24 hour light and sleep if you can on the concrete floor. Conditions we don’t impose of murderers in the Us criminal justice system. Is making young teens taking care of sick babies who don’t get clean diapers compassionate? Telling women to drink out of the toilet? Do compassionate people stand up in Court and argue that safe and sanitary conditions for children do not include soap and a toothbrush? Do compassionate federal government officials run secret FB groups making fun of dead migrant toddlers.
You don’t seem to get it. Liberals are not upset that immigration laws are being enforced. They are upset that they are being enforced in the cruelest, most inhumane and most dangerous manner imaginable. That this Administration literally looked at their immigration procedures and said— deporting and enforcing the law isn’t enough. What can we do to make human beings suffer to the greatest extent possible? That this administration is going out of its way to house children in unsafe, unclean and dangerous conditions to punish their parents.
You can enforce the law without unnecessary and gratuitous cruelty. But then what would Stephen Miller have to jerk off to?
I never thought I would see the rise of the Christian Left. But, here we are.
Just stop.
The Democrats could change the situation in an instant - by changing the laws that encourage these people to come. But, they won't. Because, Trump.
They will not allow the Republicans to introduce legislation to change the laws. Because, Trump.
And, if the Democrats had their way - these people would all be released into the country. That is their ultimate goal. They are secretly happy that the holding facilities are overcrowded and understaffed because they can complain and scream about the conditions. And, those that scream the loudest voted AGAINST additional funding to improve the situation. Explain that.
And, just stop with the "cages." These "cages" were the ones installed by the Obama administration.
The left loves the conditions illegals are in and you are exactly right- they just want anyone who crosses the border to be released into America. They’ll keep illegals in these conditions to try to force Trump to do as they wish. Drowned kids are just another cherry on the sundae for liberals-look what TRUMP is causing! It’s a staring contest and fortunately for America, Trump won’t look away.
Well said. I hope he doesn't back down on this issue.

If the Democrats had listened and taken action when President Trump and CBP sounded the alarm MONTHS ago that there was a crisis instead of acting like little ostriches, we wouldn't have such overcrowding in these facilities today.

To change the situation you need to do something so these migrants don't want or need to leave their countries. I'm sure there's not a Democrat who wouldn't welcome Trump coming up with new initiatives and investments in central America to help those countries stabilize their situations so people want to stay there.

A whole lot of virtue signaling going on with the liberals these days.
Liberals don’t want the rule of law. They want to do whatever they want to do to amass power so they can dictate how Americans live their life.

the democrats can change the law unilaterally? how interesting. someone must have missed "school house rocks."
Oh, please. Nancy won't introduce any legislation to improve the situation. You know it. I know it.
She won't pass anything that might give Trump a win. Without the Dems voting on these in the House, it won't happen.

It’s sad, but if you have kids, don’t break the law.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:^^^ are the Republicans opposed to those things? Because they have offered lots of yapping and drafted zero legislation. Why is this the Democrat’s responsibility?
And it should be bipartisan. And it was before Trump. But in 2019, Rs would hate the bill Dems would write with a pathway to citizenship for people who have been here for years and assimilated with no criminal record, and DACA, and mandatory e-verify, and 21st century border protection, and no frigging wall and reigning in the deplorable behavior of CBP, and stopping family separations. . Do you really think this bill would ever make it to the Senate floor?
Um..... Trump offered a DACA fix early in his presidency. Dems didn't want it because they don't want a permanent fix - a wall.
And, personally, I am opposed to the parents of the DACA kids getting a path to citizenship. Perhaps they can stay, but no path to citizenship. They broke our laws. Why reward them?
And, like it or not, CBP is doing their job.
And, family separations are necessary to determine whether they are family units. A third of them are not.
