I'm subtle with my wife and could never be caught in a glance, or at least I would have plausible deniability. Without her, I'm getting an eyeful but I try to avoid reaching the leer/creepy stage. Can't speak to other men but most I'm around, when it's just the boys, will let you know when something walks in the room that is worth your attention. The ones that don't express it verbally, will let you know thru their distraction.

To the person above that thought your dad didn't look, he was just very experienced. I bet he owned dark sunglasses. There is a reason I'm always reading at the beach.

Are you really that threatened by DH taking a look at something pretty? I check out women too - what they're wearing, if they're toned, etc. How they're wearing their hair. I don't think DH is going to take any action further than a look, and neither am I.

07/14/2019 16:52 here and this video is a textbook example. At the airport in SLC this one young fellow in a suit was in the TSA line in front of me and was packing heat. I told my DH and he was like 'you need to stop looking' and I was like 'you need to start'. I was like 'really. You have to look. I will tell you when' and he just said 'whoa because it was very visible hanging down his leg unsupported. Now DH is a big guy but this guy was so young, scrawny and probably Mormon that we were just in awe, laughing. I was not the only other female who noticed it either, and that really made DH LHAO.

Unless they are brain dead yes. Not staring or leering but looking. No man with any lead in his pencil wouldn’t glance at an attractive woman. Humans eyes always gravitate towards attractive objects be it a car, a building, nature, art or another person.

I don’t think that many actually stare. Kindergarteners know not to stare at people, presumably adult men can control themselves as well as a 5 year old.

As far as checking out- my dad didn’t, and my DH doesn’t. So men like that definitely exist. You just can’t force it on a guy, you have to find one with the same morals as you.

if we are going to play the fine line game of stare and checking out, i took stare to mean check out. i didnt see it as being a creep just staring at a woman and looking like a pervert, stalker, or a person with bad intentions.

now that we have that out the way, you dont turn off finding someone attractive. also, finding someone attractive doesnt mean you want to act on it.

this message boars runs the gambit of extremely prude people as showcased in this post, to completely loose and rogue on posts about cheating. rarely is there a normal, or a middle ground with yall.

This is about looking, not cheating and I disagree with you. This board has plenty of men posters who sometimes step up and explain how men think, when asked. And the opinions are not that polarizing. It's the women who have the wide, polarizing range of opinions from, those who get it and are not threatened, to those who want to explain how men should think and how it should be because certainly, the good men in their lives aren't anything like those other men.
