Last time I visited my sister, I saw cottage cheese in her fridge!! She's on that train now. White women keep the cottage cheese industry going. Very economical.

Their daily activity is going to the market where they buy exactly the amount of food they intend to eat for the day: one yogurt and an orange (MIL’s lunch), cottage cheese, a banana, 2 slices of roast turkey, one slice of cheese, 2 slices of bread (FIL’s lunch), 2 plain chicken breasts, fixings for a salad, and a vegetable to steam as a side (their dinner).
When they come to our house, they eat everything that is not nailed down, inhale an entire meal that I’d intended to use as leftovers another night, rummage through the pantry looking for more and routinely discuss how vacationing at our house is a treat. So they are pretty much just starving themselves in their own home. It’s awful to go there as they don’t adjust their habits at all so after traveling all day the first thing we have to do is go buy food because our small children will not survive on that diet! A typical serving size portioned out is 4 green beans per person.
Are your ILs doing ok with money? I totally get that their eating habits are a generational thing, but just wondering if they are concerned with finances, to your knowledge. (They seem ok, btw, but how would I know.)
no no no.. you don't get it PP.. one of the reasons why those ladies are so wealthy is that they don't spend money on food!
Marrying rich is one thing, maintaining wealth is another!
Imagine.. if a non wealthy woman spends 20 bucks a day on food.. and a skinny old wealthy lady spends 7 bucks.. that is savings of 13 bucks!
now calculate it in a lifetime?..
1 day - saved 13 bucks
10 days - saved 130 bucks
30 days = month - saved 390 bucks.. so that is almost 400 bucks a month for the sake of our calculation 12 months - 400
One year 12 months x 400 bucks = circa 5000 bucks..
So there.. it is 5K savings a year!
10 years - 50K
20 = 100K
30 = 150K
40= 200K
45= 250K
so you see?.. you can have a house for that in a lifetime!
Next time you see a skinny wealthy lady, bow in amazement, she is not only skinny, but she is a gigantic money saver!
Healthy food is more expensive than cheap fattening food.
So tiresome. You can eat very well cheaply especially if your portion sizes are small. I ate extremely healthy and all from Aldi in college.

+1
MUCH.
Np here. What do you think is the age where this becomes true and at what weight? I’m 39, 5’5” and 120lbs. So not stick thin but not big either. Happy to gain a few pounds though when the time is right.![]()

My mother sometimes..I feel sad because I know how she feels about her own body. Gives her power/ego boost when she sees MO or overweight ppl like "At least I am not that big." Mind you, this woman is not portly, just could alleviate her diabetes by losing 20lbs, I think. Whew, I do not miss living with her weight obsession, it is sad. And she was a health professional, btw, not that that means she would be any more 'woke' or immune to poor self-image. But this is sooooo dangerous when you have daughters. My goodness, I hope to have at least one daughter so I can raise a young woman differently, with positive body messages.

Anonymous wrote:Skinny women don't eat. It truly is that simple. However, how do they manage not to eat? I know plenty are popping pills, some for weight too. But, there is also another possibility, they are driven women, and many driven women have a ton of restless energy. You ever see that person that is always tapping her leg when in a restaurant? She is generals skinny, all my friends that are like this are. And those women that are always walking fast, no matter where? Generally skinny. Now, all this eating a lot of food is more a trend for poor and MC who watch tv and commercial and are prone to consumerism. If they are very old, they never got the idea to be gluttons. I think that is what it really comes down to, we are all gluttons and these old skinny, rich women never fell for the consumerism. Getting heavy is letting yourself go, as I wrote about the royals today, letting yourself go is shameful and for the "masses," in their minds. See, when people say, "my mother eats like a bird," that really means that this person is eating plenty to have energy and survive, but not engaging in gluttony, which is how it seems to all of us with skewed food attitudes.
