(Just kidding. I'm the OP, and the one the moderator just accused of being a racist, moron, or deplorable.)
You said the most important issue to you is illegal immigration. If that is more important to you then healthcare, the economy, war and peace, etc., you are obviously a racist, moron, and deplorable. It is pretty clear that being against "illegal immigration" is simply a respectable way of announcing that you are a white supremacist. One scratch below the surface will reveal that you are actually against nearly all immigration, legal or otherwise, involving non-white people. Oh sure, you will cloud that behind arguments that you want immigrants that will "help our economy" and are "educated" and so on, but the truth is pretty obvious.
You are not really helping things Jeff. Did someone else get a hold of your Admin account?
Not helping things? What are you talking about?
I disagree with Jeff's assertion that anyone who thinks illegal immigration is more important to them than healthcare, the economy, war and peace, etc, is obviously a racist, moron, and deplorable. I can't fathom how any rational person can come to this conclusion. People don't all have the same take on what's most important to them. To someone who has good healthcare and believes the healthcare system in the US is working okay for the most part (not me, but someone can think this), that the economy is doing great, and that the US is generally secure from threat of war, then illegal immigration may very well be more important. I am not saying I agree that it is the most important issue, but I can understand and appreciate that people have different priorities as a result of their circumstances - it doesn't automatically make them a racist, moron, and deplorable. I find Jeff's behavior beyond the pale, therefore I questioned whether someone else got a hold of his account.
Thank you! I'm the OP, and the one whom Jeff called a moron, racist, or deplorable. He called me a white supremacist, and accused me of being against ALL immigration. He is exemplifying the very worst of liberal traits - demonizing people who disagree.
FTR, I believe illegal immigration should be our number one issue because it so negatively impacts other areas, such as health care and the economy. You simply cannot throw open the doors to foreign nationals who cannot afford to feed their own kids and expect American taxpayers, most of whom earn moderate wages, to pay to teach these kids English, provide them with lunch, and then give all benefits to any additional babies born here.
Just look at the "illegal" neighborhoods, where they congregate. The public schools are rated 3, property values have dropped by a third, and elderly Americans who bought a $50,000 ranch house 40 years ago have watched their equity drop. Or to to a nearby ER, where illegal aliens get treated for free, and lower-middle class Americans can't afford the ER bill.
No, I am in favor of immigration - but merit-based. And I have lenient standards. Adults needs a high school degree and must demonstrate that they have the means to provide for their families. But it is ridiculous the way liberals care more about the wants of non-Americans, even though it comes at the expense of working-class Americans, and then accuse anyone who points that out as being racist is crazy.
If you believe illegal immigration has a significant impact on healthcare than someone has swindled you.
Health care is the lesser example. It's the economy in general. How do you liberals think we can keep importing millions and millions of poor, uneducated, unskilled immigrants who require and take taxpayer support, and lower the caliber of our public school system, without seeing a huge impact?
It must be hard to live in such a state of fear and paranoia.
No, I live in reality. Leave your little UMC liberal bubble, and drive over to the Glenmont Shopping Center and see what the area looks like. Maybe you can pick up the dirty diapers lying in the parking lot and suggest to the mothers that they don't let their toddlers sit in the beer-drenched curb. Then knock on the doors of the elderly people living nearby and tell them you're sorry that the illegal influx has killed the schools and robbed them of their home's equity they could have used to pay for care in their old age.
Nice try. I grew up in an area with a lot of poor people. My family was a family of laborers. Neither of my parents or any of my grandparents went to college. My great-grandparents immigrated here. So, your fear-mongering doesn't work on my. Nor does your stereotyping of my background.

np. I hope you see this after you come back from voting. You are not racist, a moron nor deplorable. They can't Kavanaugh us all.
You are the party who shelters rapists, pedophiles, and racists. Own it.
Wow, you are nasty. I was on the fence about voting today with the rain and the inconvenience, but you just motivated me to leave work early and vote a straight GOP ticket. Thanks PP!
You weren’t going to vote because it’s raining? Wow. Have a seat, PP.
More indifference than the rain. I am your classic independent. But the liberal intolerance on display here has fired me up, as it tends to do. I suspect there are many more like me out there that the polls don’t pick up. I wasn’t sure I was going to vote and decided to check this thread quickly to help me decide.
Calling out the racists and the pedophiles got you fired up? Cool.
You came to DCUM to decide how to vote? Ahahahahaha.
Your trolling game is weak.
No, the assignment of horrible labels to an entire party is what I find enfuriating. And I knew if I voted, it would be GOP. I just didn’t know if it was worth the effort.
Anonymous wrote:Democrat here. I did not vote today due to the rain. It’s dangerous on the roads and my vote probably won’t make any difference anyways.

Roy Moore, Kavanaugh, Steve King. They are all GOP.
Wow, just when I doubt myself as a Republican in 2018, the liberal crazies show their true colors. Again, thanks for the motivation. The GOP may not be perfect, but it’s better than this.
You make no sense. Your party nominates Roy Moore (backed by the president) and has voted in Steve King for 15 years. But it's the "liberal crazies" who name names who you have an issue with? Weak.
