Pretty sure these are just Wes Anderson screen shots.
I’m the burnt Sienna poster from before. Top pic is what the color looks like. It’s not actually orange.
They ruined this apartment with the paint! My eyes!
NP.
I like it. White and Greige are sooooo boring and basic. Who can't make a greige room look nice? All you need is a credit card and an Internet connection and anyone can replicate a Pottery Barn room. It takes true ability to pull of a stylish colorful room like these.

Most people don't bother painting though. Around here everyone lives in a greige pottery barn catalog.

I LOVE these! I love that color is coming back into style. I just said this in the controversial opinion thread but lack of color only indicates lack of design ability. A true designer incorporates color and interesting artwork, textures, antiques, etc.
The homes people love on these boards look like they're straight out of Pottery Barn and West Elm (which I guess goes along with the dumb "modern farmhouse" trend and barn doors, puke). Basic AF. Not sophisticated in the least.
Color has never been out of style. But things being what they are, people don't want OTHER people to choose their colors for them. And because most house tours are of houses put up for sale, you see more neutrals to appeal to the largest possible pool of buyers. I mean would YOU want to sell something that only appeals to like 5% of the buyer pool? People put up their own sophistication after they buy but hell I don't want to pay for somebody else's choice of colors thank you very much.

Usually the McMansions are "Italianate."
Wow, do you say that about other countries? That's racist.
