The special needs forum-- forever appreciative and grateful.

I learned that when I pinched a nerve in my tailbone that the pain would eventually end, but I needed to give it 6-8 weeks. Voila, right schedule.

I've learned to be deeply insecure about how much money we've earned/saved. Highly motivational.

I've learned that there are people who cruise and people who look down on cruises.

I've learned from the family forum that many people seem to have a pain threshold that is either too high or too low.

I learned so much from DCUM. I am an immigrant. Basically American style everything, I have learned from this site : parenting, schools, relationships, dating, everything you cannot learn from a movie or a book.
DCUM gave me a window on the world of Americans without all the whitewashing. It's not always pretty.

Yes you can! Not permanent and you just remove when you move out. We did it in our last apartment.


I've been thinking about it but I'm worried it would be like one of those potty-seat raising attachments to the toilet like my grandmothers both used when they were in wheelchairs (and where pee goes everywhere and the bathroom stinks). Is it?


Not at all. Ours has no impact on the seat itself. There’s a control panel on the side of toilet and embedded inside the bowl is the sprayer. Seat is original to toilet and unmodified.

Best I've learned: a ton about colleges. I recently went to my DS's high school's college application night and already knew everything they were telling us. Because of the DCUM College and University forum!

Worst: that Revlon hair dryer. Did nothing for me, my hair looks like crap after using it. But I'll exchange the cost of that for the free college info.
