You can't equate this to Average Joe workplace stuff. You just can't. SJP has tried to make Cattral look bad publicly/in the press/in the industry for years. She went out of her way to drag the CHARACTER of Samantha through the mud as well. As an executive producer, she did ridiculous things to Samantha.
Anyway, if SJP had reached out to Cattral *privately,* we might not have heard a peep about this. But she didn't. She freaking Instagrammed. It's just so declasse.

Nixon also reached out via IG as well and Kim responded back to her. Sooo...I guess she is déclassé as well? However, we do not if either of them reached out privately or not. I am going to guess neither did. Either way it was still a very nice gesture of both ladies.
Nixon also CALLED: http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/tv/news/kim-cattrall-sarah-jessica-parker-cynthia-nixon-sex-and-the-city-brothers-death-social-media-fight-a8206086.html

which started wth KC posting on IG. So, who is declasse?
KC posted first on Instagram that her brother was missing, in an attempt to FIND HER MISSING BROTHER. She then publicly updated that he had been found dead, which is appropriate to essentially call off the public search/request for help.
Yeah, if my brother was missing, you'd see it on my social media feeds.

What is true is that the show and the movies wouldn't have been anything worth mentioning with Kim. SJP was supposed to be the star but Kim was. Kim made the show. Is it interesting that even SJP won't consider another movie without Kim. That says everything.

This is a personal opinion/preference thing. For you, Samantha made the show. Other people tolerated Samantha's character while enjoying other characters more. Kim Cattrall was valuable to the franchise because of the fans who did view her character as key, but she wasn't the linchpin for everyone.

Anonymous wrote:OooO! I actually have some straight up tea/boots on the ground, people.
After college, I worked for Pat Field as a wardrobe assistant on this show. I essentially was a seamstress and spent a ton of time shopping for vintage things that Pat would declare garbage until I eventually would stumble on a few workable pieces.
In terms of tailoring, first of all, the women all of them were tiny. I spent hours tailoring outfits on the principals (and others).
First, Kristin Davis is a sweetheart. She was always so, so nice. Second, Catrell was professional and quiet. She was appreciative of the time we took and was very respectful. Cynthia hated the amount of the it took to tailor things and eventually worked it out with Pat to avoid tailored outfits as much as possible (btw that's one reason her clothes were a mess). SJP...well, she was the boss. Everything was contingent on her approval and if she didn't like it, you were in trouble with Pat. If you were too slow, you got in trouble. If you were too chatty, too familiar, etc. She was not what I'd call nice, but she was very serious.
In terms of social dynamics, from what I saw SJP and Nixon were close. Davis was sort of friendly with everyone and Catrall and SJP/Nixon did not get along. At all.
