I believe lots of democrats recognize this, which is why immigration is such a hot-button issue. Liberals won't even admit that the attempted bombing in NYC was due to their own policies, even when the guy was found still wired and screaming why he did it.

No, as much as you want them to be. And they tried.

This. They’re positively giddy. What a low bar they had to clear.![]()
How many points did Trump win that state by?
Get cozy and complacent. Just really imagine most Americans agree with him and you and the politics of exclusion. Get reallllll cozy. You're safe!
You guys would know all about “cozy, complacent, and safe”... not to mention sanctimonious and smug. Didn’t work out so well for you, did it?
Also - exactly who is being “excluded” in this imagination of yours?

Might just make all the difference, even if Jones isn't seated yet.
FYI, I don’t think the GOP has been demoralized at all. Only a tiny subset of people wanted Moore to win. Most conservatives fully agreed he was a nutcase. But what you said reminded me of exactly what the liberals were thinking after Trump won. Now *that* must have been demoralizing for you guys, learning just how deeply your liberal agenda was despised.

To quote the great Sarah Sanders... "The people of Alabama have spoken and when they decisively voted in Doug Jones to represent them".
I mean, if this works for her defense of our atrocious President, why not use it with Jones.
He won. A win is a win.
Anonymous wrote:Anyone saying that a 1-2% win isn't a big deal is just kidding themselves. Alabama is the reddest state in the country. Any Republican running for Senate should get 70+% of the of the vote.

+1000
Somehow all the "He won, live with it" is fading, after Virginia, New Jersey, now Alabama. On to 2018. #resist

(and yes, it happens in Maryland for the dems)
That's amazing. And despicable. The Dems really need to make some big wins by 2020, when the next census is conducted. We need a national consensus on legislative boundaries. Computers combined with non-partisan district drawing committees can easily solve this problem for us.
