I'm all for a fall break, xmas break, winter break and a spring break!
Hogan has fixed the budget, increased tourism, made sure purple line started, and is widening 270 and the beltway on the MD side. All while having cancer. He isn't going anywhere and I say that as a Dem.
Maryland constitution requires a balanced budget, and Sen. Rich Madaleno and others helped to make Hogan's budget less Trumpian. Haven't seen any numbers saying that tourism has increased. There is no way Hogan gets credit for the purple line which many have had a hand in (mostly citizen activists). Widening of 270 might happen, but never 49. Never happening.
Voting for Hogan is a vote against the needs of citizens in MoCo and PG counties.

Also a Dem who will most likely be voting for Hogan.

Anonymous wrote:Most people go away for Easter to visit family or on a real vacation. Before we began traveling for spring break, I used to work on those days and my office was a ghost town...ya know, since most families with school age kids travel for spring break. If you don't want to travel, then just take your kid to the office with you...nobody will be there to notice.

I would not hold your breath on that one. Other than a handful of voters in MoCo this decision is very popular statewide and he still has over 60% approval rating. He will have to do something very wrong between now and then to risk being voted out and then ONLY if the Democrats come up with a viable candidate that has statewide support and not just the various one-county candidates that have shown interest so far.

Well I do get the elementary school families and the child care issue of the random days off, it was really good for high schoolers to do college visits those days. Now they have to miss instruction to go visiting schools.

Fairfax county doesn't get off on Easter Monday. Why does Montgomery county include it?
