I was really unpopular and teased in elementary. I put a note that said "death to you" in the desk of one girl who was tormenting me. Thankfully no one took any of that seriously in the 70s so I ddin't get in trouble. Unfortunatly, no one took bullying seriously either.

I am one of the APS parents who reached out directly to ACPD about this and sent the link to the thread. Here is the response I received on Saturday:

What is the great schools rating

Years ago, parents reported to me that their daughter was bothered because another girl would sit across the room and glare at their daughter. I moved the girls to where their backs were to each other and thought nothing more of it for awhile. Then another teacher found some scary pictures of a girl shooting another girl in the writing journal of the girl who was staring/glaring. There was also stuff about how much she hated that girl (who was very much the "queen bee" type). Parents were very proactive in this case and had a full psychiatric evaluation done, and they had already had her in counseling due to other concerns. The results of the evaluation opened up other resources for the student such as enrolling in the county's program for ED (Emotionally Disability) children.

In situations like this, I think a psychiatric eval can give a lot more useful information/resources than the police can. Obviously, if concrete steps are not being taken by the school or parents, by all means, get the police involved. Yes, the other girl involved probably did help to trigger some of the issues, and there were some other very difficult things going on in the child's life. There will always be mean people who upset us, but if stress and getting upset at someone leads to violent thoughts, there needs to be significant psychological help. The child quite possibly needs to be moved to a different academic setting where he can be more closely monitored and supported.

I would call the police. I would inform all the parents of kids who were on the list. I would be having a meeting with the principal about how they would ensure this kid with a kill list and a gun would not be bringing the gun to school. I would be freaking out.

Well the OP was stupid enough to be posting from work. Shouldn't be too hard for the cops to track her down.

Assuming this is not a troll, it would be great if Jeff or someone from ACPD could confirm that the situation has been addressed.

It would be incredibly stupid if the school did not involve the police. If nothing else, the parents need to be aware that other parents take kill threats very seriously. They seriously need to get help for their child.
