But, let's consider this article that you consider a legitimate source:
The second paragraph begin, "Imran and his Muslim brothers...". How many news articles identify suspects by their religion in this manner? Yet, when Awan's lawyer mentioned anti-Muslim bigotry you all scoffed.
Next, the sentence to which you allude says, "Word has it that Debbie Wasserman Schultz is an absolute wreck since Imran Awan was arrested." Note that the source for this allegation is "word". Pretty solid, can't argue with "word". The article later refers to a tweet by John Cardillo? who sources the information to "FL politicos". You may remember John Cardillo? from back when he was flogging a conspiracy about Hillary Clinton wearing an earpiece during the debate:

Let's rephrase this. Smashed hard drives and other equipment were very important to Awan as he kept coming back to and even threatened to tenants, who were military and knew better.
Also these hard drives were on Awan's property and possession is 9/10ths the rule.
