But it's not incorrect. Most people living with HIV do NOT have AIDS for many years. And it is also true that there have been many, many advancements in treatment since the 1990s. My uncle was part of the first AZT trials and eventually died of AIDS in the early '90s and things have improved greatly since then. THAT SAID, of course people should do all they can to protect themselves & prevent infection. And of course people respond differently to the meds. I'm sorry for your loss - we can definitely agree that it's a terrible death.

Agree. My cousins just died from AIDS two years ago despite antivirals. It was a horrifying thing to witness.

this point was brought up as a major tangent in a thread a couple weeks back. Something about Millennials need to remember that it can STILL kill AND is not the only STD out there?
I remember because I agree. It is more survivable and can be better managed these days than 30 years ago, but you still don't want to contract it if you can avoid it.

I don't think anyone is saying these exes were exposed we're simply saying that we are narrowing it down to Sheen based in the newest clues released. Newest clues doesn't limit to how long ago the exes were they (media) is just throwing clues out so we can conclude on our own so they don't face lawsuit later. Based on clues, Sony emails, Sheen is the guy.

Most of these women Sheen dated a decade or two ago, and presumably his HIV status is more recent so there's probably no real risk he infected them.
