With the amount of garbage that gets posted here, it is refreshing to read a post that makes sense. Well said!

Part of what I am guessing people may have seen as odd is that the post sounded as though you were just watching children at swim meets, soccer, lacrosse games and the like. You referred to "your community" as though it is not also your own community. If your children are on all those teams it is indeed your community, too.

How are you involved in all these sessions of crying? Are your children crying too? There are plenty of activities out there that don't result in children crying every weekend. If your children's teams are as you describe them, I would suggest switching them to a different team or league. Weekend activities should be fun, and not a cause for constant tears. Sure, all kids cry sometimes, but the amount you described is excessive, and not the norm at all.

I really think you're taking the nutcase poster just a tad too seriously! S/he's just a foolish blowhard who comes on DCUM every few months to spew nonsensical jumbles of words in the hopes of appearing intelligent. Sadly, s/he just looks ridiculous and comical. I wouldn't read too much into any of his/her posts.

Yes, I know. But I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. S/he seems to have a very dark view of other people and the general community s/he finds him/herself in, so I wanted to give him or her some positive and possibly useful information. If those teams are actually as s/he describes them, I wouldn't have my kids involved for ten minutes, let alone an entire season!

No, it's a bird...perhaps a plane...

It's most definitely an extremely odd "grownup" (and I use that word lightly) doing the trolling. By the tone and flowery word usage alone, English isn't his or her first language, though he sure wants to pretend it is.

I agree with you. And the posts sometimes develop a tone which inclines toward nastiness and name-calling. It reminds me of an adolescent boy more than any adult I know. And frankly, most adolescent boys don't even act this way!

Yes, this is surely irrelevant, but I can't help wondering where there is a pool with 700+ swimmers and parents watching each other at 10:24 on a non-holiday Monday morning. It's an unusual time for a meet and the early morning practices are usually well over by 8 or so, let alone almost 10:30.

You've admitted you participated yesterday and today. At least you are not in denial and own your true colors.
