Agree. And by using infrastructure already set up that would promote "green" as well. However, I would bet the people raising the traffic concerns are against using Lafayette as swing space and will have other objections now that a good way to deal with the traffic issue has been proposed.

Personally, as a taxpayer, I think it makes a lot of sense, rather than spending millions to build another swing space. I understand it is an imposition on the people who live right around Lafayette, but we cannot all be selfish about this.
It's not a very green policy. Once again, DCPS encourages everyone to get in their cars, like like the huge east to west migration they encourage every day. Murch has a lot of walkers.
