many other groups it would be racist, sexist etc. but for some reason it's ok to stereotype CCC members.. I'm a member and pretty much all the kids I know there are well behaved. They certainly are no worse than any other population of kids.
I belong to several membership clubs around the DC and I can assure you, the clubs have never had to send a letter such as the one referenced in this thread, ever to members.
Therefore, I'd say CC kids are worse behaved than another population of kids.

I thought they stopped doing that a long time ago because of the stigma with their constituents of them joining $80,000 a year country clubs when the average income in the U.S. is below 40k a year. [/quote Most members of Congress probably cannot afford an $80,000 initiation fee to join a country club given what they make.
I'm sure more than 10 percent of the people on DCUM have set foot inside the CCC.
There is no chance that 10 percent of people on this board have been there - no. chance.

Anonymous wrote:It is not that big of a problem...Winter Center redone and goldfish being shoved into radiators...this has been going on for a long time...it only matters now because room redecorated! Mountain out of mole hill and slow news day at what is left of The Washington Post. The inner circle is probably 3 members of the House committee who have been alerted to increase of goldfish population in the air ducts by whomever happens to be doing the vacuuming that week... Can we please go to the corn husking etiquette forum now because I am now getting bored with this thread. Jeff can we bump that from archives?

Free range parenting for the 1%?
There seems to be a lot of hate mongering toward the rich, OP. You may have noticed it once or twice (!!!) on these boards.
Indeed. I deeply regret starting this thread.

So many assumptions about what goes on and how a club operates.
I am willing to bet that 90% of the people on this thread have never been inside Chevy or any similar club and certainly not long enough to form an opinion on the people or what goes on.
So, so easy to hate people who have money and one more example of judging people for the way they spend their money and live their lives.
It's sad.
