It's a challenge, but the policy is clear: there are signs posted everywhere stating so and security tells people as they come in that photography is strictly prohibited. Security keeps a close eye on guests and throws anyone out who breaks this rule. Its not foolproof but I've only seen a couple of people get thrown out over this.

Unlike almost all other jobs, you get to choose your own schedule. You show up when you want to work, but it still has to be before the start of the shift (6-2 is the night shift). Many, but not all, strip clubs operate this way. If you come late or leave early, you pay a penalty on top of the house fee. I work two nights a week, and will work a third if I'm not too tired. So, 16-24 hours a week. However, I get there 1-1.5 hours beforehand to get ready.

Even if I were a prostitute, would that justify disrespect on your or anyone else's behalf? To echo other posters, I find it funny that many women consider themselves feminists - but only in regard to certain types of women (e.g. not sex workers).

I started this job at an age when most women in this industry are getting out of it, and didn't and don't intend to do it long term. I have a master'a degree and had a career in the non-profit sector before taking time off when my son was born. When I interviewed for jobs, the only contenders either didn't pay enough to be worth the cost of child care or weren't flexible enough to accommodate my husband's work hours. This job allows me the flexibility to hold a part time volunteer position relevant to my field and allows me to be with my son most days. I intend to quit and reenter the (professional) workforce full-time once he reaches school age.

I don't feel demeaned by the work I do, if that matters to you. I make more now than I ever made in the professional world, and I've learned a lot with this job (believe it or not).
