Guess you live in a bubble and don't understand reality. What teen doesn't have a cell phone?

Not really worth responding to this person; they obviously want to derail this discussion and/or have a snarky limited world-view. Either way, not worth serious responses anymore.

$300k specifically for technology? You're sure it's not for facilities renovation? What's the source on this?

Don't worry--If DCI keeps these policies, there will be plenty of space there for kids with limited educational options.

Some technology is great, but what DCI has to offer is excessive. Kids already have enough screen time during their personal time.

And your lack of problem-solving skills aside (and your bossy attitude), why are you so threatened by a good discussion -which, miraculously for DCUM has stayed mostly on topic - that you feel the need to try to get people to stop having it? Not that it will work, but so interesting when people think their own issues with a topic should be reason to stop the discussion. There's an index page to this forum: it has this awesome aspect that let's you choose which threads you read! Crazy what these kids invent these days!

Wow, must sucks to be you... so powerless and lacking problem-solving skills, you haven't figured out how to not open a thread you're done with! Folks, this PP is yet more living proof that over - exposure to the internet destroys executive functioning! Kids: don't try this at home! Or at school...

I plan on going to an information session and to ask current parents. I've already read the website, including the link provided by a PP. I've also found the information on this site very helpful so I will continue to read. I would also love to hear more from current parents and hope that they will post.

....or even better, go to an information session, which happens once a month and is on the calendar on the school's homepage!
