JM doesn't seem to be much of a planner... just a guy going about life looking for sex and used to pushing his weight around to intimidate people. JM doesn't seem to be much of a thinker/planner. I think he's probably a killer, but not one who plans his strategy. He's an impromptu killer or reckless killer, if he killed HG.

I get the impression that when it came to JM - people, for whatever reason, looked the other way a lot. With so many people making excuses for you maybe you don't really need to be all that clever?

Look at his timeline that night - the way he hurt the guy in the bar, picked up and grabbed women, danced obnoxiously outside bumping into people - and try to imagine yourself or anyone else that you know getting away with such obnoxious and aggressive behavior. WTH?

I think it depends on the bar management. I don't think he would've gotten away with that behavior at another bar and that's probably why he hung out there.

He hurt the guy in one bar. Grabbed the women later in Tempo. And then "danced" outside of the bar bumping into people presumably on the public sidewalk. It sounds as though he was being an azz iall over the place..

I've seen so many racist comments online from black people saying he's being framed, "the white whore deserved it", etc. and it's really disgusting. And yet you don see white peoe rioting in the streets.

He doesn't fit the profile of a maniacal killer, but he sure doesn't fit the profile of an innocent man.

Did Ted Bundy?

Did Ted Bundy work in a stable, regular job in a hospital or volunteer coach at a HS? Did he live in the same community his whole life? I am not one who paid any attention to Ted Bundy, but I'm guessing not.

John Wayne Gacy seemed stable, lived in the same community for a long time and volunteered as a clown at children's events.

Major news sources, including CBS News, reported the same thing -- more accurately he was accused of rape and while no criminal charges we filed he was expelled over the incident.

How's that crow taste? Do you like it roasted, or baked in a pie with vegetables and a cream sauce?!

He was accused of rape, there was no evidence to arrest him and the woman dropped the charges. Sorry, no crow eating here.

No one said he was criminally charged. But there was obviously enough evidence of serious misconduct that Liberty U expelled him, which is what the media outlets reported Sometimes it takes more than an Ivy League degree to sniff out the details of a story. "Lesser" outlets than the NYT clearly have their place.

I think the chief said they have the messages but he didn't want to comment further.

Would help if the "find my phone" had been turned on....

is this true? didn't realize that

I got curious because Longo mentioned it during his press conference saying there was a huge gap of time between when she was last seen and when she was reported missing, and it seems like 40 hours passed in between. I haven't read anything about what happened during that time, what her friends were thinking or if they tried to reach her, or even what JM was doing, if he went to work or was home, nothing is being reported from that period of time. Only from the actual night.

It was the weekend and a lot of students stay out all night, hook up and don't come back to their place before the next morning.

Don't you have to wait a certain amount of time before reporting an adult as missing? Much longer than a child?

Actually Ted Bundy had a very stable job, girlfriends, lived in the same community his whole life. He was considering a rising up-and-coming Republican star who was destined to run for public office someday.

Done a bit of research on how one becomes a serial killer/serial rapist...It does take a bit of practice to get it right. If he did do it and if this is his first attempt she probably would have been found by now. They tend to get better at pulling it off without being seen and then hiding the evidence. I doubt he is a Ted Bundy. If this case is the result of a Ted Bundy type character then I suspect JM isn't the one. I don't think he could have been so sloppy in every other aspect yet so skillfully have hidden the evidence.

YES! Ted Bundy worked as a volunteer on a suicide prevention hotline for Pete's sake!!!!

I've never trusted people who do volunteer work.
