Joel Osteen pulls in $600,000 every weekend, which could feed tens of thousands of hungry children. But it turns out that the money goes to Feed The Children, which it turns out is just another huge boondoggle receiving an F from philanthropy watchdogs, with precious little money actually ever going to feed hungry mouths. People like to talk about government inefficiency but organizations like Joel Osteen and Feed The Children are actually far more bloated, wasteful, corrupt and inefficent at feeding anyone than just about any government program out there.

No, just pointing out that the churches are stepping up to help--something which the liberals on this board frequently challenge.

No. But they might not go up. I agree we have to educateare for the poor? the kids--but we sure need to discourage them from coming in the future. Churches are feeding them, too.

Illegals are all of the above. However, the taxpayer is picking up the tab for the children of those who are unskilled. That is a fact.
Are you talking about Fortune 500 companies?
Yeah taxpayers do have to pick up the tab for corporate subsidies - CFO's and CEO's are unskilled indeed that's a fact, not sure about their kids.
Yes. That's why Fairfax county is going to have to raise taxes. So they can educate the kids of all those who overstayed student visas.

And are they disliked if they are poor, and disliked if they are successful?
LOL, let me guess you get your news from FOX? You obviously have missed out on meeting the many people who came here on a college VISA and never left . In any metro area there are plenty of "illegals" and they are very literate, often in 2, 3 and 4 languages, including yours.
