Because it is Jewish and most gentiles don't feel welcome and/or would not be comfortable in a Temple preschool. Jewsih kids have long attended schools in churches/with christian affiliations but the opposite just has never been common.


PP What and insulting thing to say. Jewish preschools including the Temple Sinai and the JCC are inclusive and welcoming places.

I do. Is St. John's Georgetown still one of top 10 preschools? And is this true in terms of outplacement?

My husband and I are very happy with Preschool of the Arts in Potomac, MD. It exceeded all our expectations and our daughter is so happy to go to school every day!

I believe VA also has smaller space requirements so you get preschools with more children in a classroom and less space per child. Somehow they don't seem to adjust their prices to be lower than MD though.

Not sure why but the full time preschools in NOVA just don't seem to be at the same level as MD and DC. It may be due to the larger student teacher ratios allowed in VA. There are several good ones, but none I know of that are great.

Aidan can go full day after age 3. St John's can go as long as 8-3 in the older two classrooms. Youngest kids 8-12 max.
