Not quite.
66 into DC in the AM is HOV, and opposite in the evening inside the beltway.
Taking GW parkway which rides along McLean, is the only real option into DC.

Even though these areas are large and there are some seeming overlaps around the areas outside of beltway in terms of distance, in general Mclean property will be closer to DC than a property in Vienna. The area around Mclean is less congested because less people live this way, so less traffic lights, less, people driving on GW pkwy than on 66 outside of rush hour. I don't know how people can argue against this, Mclean and Arlington are inner suburbs, inside beltway, Vienna is outside of beltway clearly, it is going to take longer to drive into the city from Vienna vs. parts of Mclean inside beltway. Not bashing Vienna or anything, to each their own and some people don't care at all to be closer to the city. But for those who care, being in Mclean will be easier.
