I'm 153cms tall and weigh 55kilos. How's that in your standard?

Hold on. Someone will be back with some snark as soon as she googles a conversion chart.

Sorry, it took me a while. Clearly she hasn't lost the baby weight yet, and designer clothing will definitely not work at that limited height.

Just say thanks, mention they have great sales. That's it! No need to read into the compliment any further than that!

I have no idea what Janie and Jack clothes are but why are people so tough on OP? I just don't get the fuss. I dressed my kid in Potomac Mills.

Not going to happen. OP needs someone to practice her English with.

OP here and we're on our 4th season of some Tea and HA stuff too. DD is skinny and on the tall side for her age so we definitely can do the dress to tunic to shirt thing too. LOVE IT! And it still look like new!

Right?!? I think that's the route we'll end up taking as well!!!

I'm the PP many pages ago who can't self-coordinate separates, so I love places like Hanna or Gymboree. I have a skinny kid too, and a quick stitch or two takes in the pants of most clothes. Also, that is one thing I have found about Hanna. They are loose and baggy enough that dresses become tunics become shirts. Leggings become capris and we can get a couple of seasons worth of wear out of them. I still only buy on sale, but it makes them that much more affordable if I know she's going to wear the same shirt or dress for 4 or 5 seasons instead of 1 or 2.[/quote]

That's true. That does make it more affordable that way. You are right. Thanks also for the tip about the quick stitch at the waist. Maybe I will try this. We have not bought any HA but do have one hand-me-down outfit from some friends, so maybe I will try that with the waist of the leggings. Thank you!

OP, we were talking about Hanna Andersen.

Anonymous wrote:First DS wore beautiful, classic clothing. I wouldn't tolerate commercial characters or stupid sayings or GAP in huge letters on his shirts.

I am so over it. Second DS can wear whatever heinous ensemble that his dad lets him pick out when they shop together. Spiderman? Little Monkey? Bring it. Letting DS have a say in his clothing is fun for him and liberating for me. I look at photos of first DS now, and frankly, he looked just a little too precious.

This made me laugh. I let my kids wear whatever, too. I had an argument with DS this morning because he wanted to wear an orange/white striped shirt with navy/lime green shorts. He won. It's just not worth it on a day to day basis.
