Do not underestimate a Vance / Luna ticket. Southern states like GA and VA that Trump had trouble with it lost will be locks against most Dem candidates, Vance will be strong in the Rust Belt, and Luna will help with Hispanics in Nevada and Arizona.

On the top of the Republican ticket.

He would easily win the battleground states and a whole lot more. Every southern and midwestern state comes into play with Beshear as the nominee.
However, he’s never been under the national spotlight. And some whither under all the attention - like Whitmer. Does he have what it takes? Who knows.
But the first challenge is winning primaries. And progressives and blacks have a lot of sway there. 85 year old James Clyburn is basically a king maker on Super Tuesday. Are they going to go with a popular white male governor from Kentucky?
It seems unlikely. Progressives and the black elite will probably want Harris and think the presidency is owed to her. And they’ll destroy competitors on Super Tuesday. That’s how we get President Tucker Carlson.
Andy Beshear has no star power and couldn’t win a debate vs Vance. Vance had a movie made by Ron Howard before he went into politics, that’s how inspiring his narrative is, objectively. You need someone with comparable star power and debating skills. The only person the Dems have will charisma and debating skills is Newsom.

Yes, a win for the GOP for sure.

This, Democratic establishment wants an Israel first candidate and he'll be the perfect fit.
Isn’t that the current beef with Trump, he’s Israel first? So we just make the same mistakes again and again and then act all shocked when things are looking too familiar.
The dem establishment, corporate and consultant class are all in on Israel and AIPAC. They would rather throw the country over a cliff vs break with Israel. They will actually tell you that to your face. In the current climate that means the Dems can not win.
Maybe the progressive can break off to form a new party or something. Rahm Emanuel and Third Way are planning to spend 20 million against progressives because they do not support Israel. Everything go on and this is what the dems priority is.
We will have Tucker as president.
How are the Republicans to win then? They got us into a war with Iran in service to Israel. Facts will matter.
Look at the democrats. Which of the ones mentioned will break with Israel, purge the government of Trump followers(DOD, DOJ, ICE, FBI, ICE, etc), prosecute Trump’s family, etc? People needed to be arrested and tried- the agents who executed US citizens.
I will vote for ANYONE who will do this, including a Republican.

This sentiment is not shared by most of the voting population given the results of 2016 and 2024.
Clinton, Harris, and Whitmer are all weak candidates for various reasons. But not because they are women. They just didn't click. Meanwhile, a black man with the middle name Hussein was a very successful two term president. And would easily win today if he could run again. Americans are perfectly capable of voting for candidates that don't fit the white man box. But the candidates have to be good and have some charisma and generate excitement.
And we still are not seeing someone emerge. Newsom is a shapeshifter with a sleazy history and is way too obsessed with social media. I have met frogs with more charisma than Mark Kelly. Kamala Harris couldn't even make it to the Iowa caucus when she ran for president. Pritzker is an inherited billionaire and do we really another one? People's views on the billionaire class and Israel have changed 180 degrees over the past couple of years, both among liberals and conservatives. This is going to be a tough election cycle for Jews, including Shapiro. Buttigieg is just a leisurely fellow floating through life with his Harvard and McKinsey pedigree. Being gay doesn't even matter. Not a prime time man.
There's no candidate yet. And typical of Democrats, they seem to rely on Trump being unpopular. But that is exactly how someone like Tucker Carlson becomes president. Democrats already made that mistake and threw in the deeply unpopular, 82 year old Joe Biden, which is why have this mess. Democrats really need to focus on getting a compelling candidate, even if it's a green alien from Mars of indeterminate gender.
You act like there should be a candidate already. It is super early. Just because we want it to be over doesn't mean there isn't a lot of time left, plenty for someone to emerge.
My favorites are the people who have fought back, among whom Mark Kelly is the most dignified. But I would also very gladly vote for Chris Murphy or Osoff.
Murphy/Kelly ticket. Georgia needs Ossoff. Can Pennsylvania find someone to primary the Neanderthal currently cosplaying as a Democrat.
Conor Lamb?
He is currently practicing law in private practice. However, it looks like he is stepping light back into politics, so maybe he will give it another run with enough support.

Conor Lamb has stayed visible and vocal this entire time while Fetterman has been sh!tting the bed. It’s pretty great. But he’s not ready to be President.

Boring white male, religious black Democrat
Both from the South, both are fairly moderate. Both could appeal to key Democratic constituents and Independents
I think a lot of people are going to have a strong desire for normalcy after 10+ years of political chaos. I have noticed that Beshear has been mostly been staying out of the way of national politics. (Unlike pritzker). This will probably be to his benefit when the time comes. People are going to want to shut the door on this era, and probably act like it never happened.
