No?
Didn't think so.

You can't just hand over a child to someone because they asked for them. If you were taken to jail for whatever reason, should the police give your kid to a school board member?

If ICE had handed this poor child over to a non-relative you'd all be crying about families being separated.
But I suggest you take your kids over to a nice shiny country like Japan, apply for asylum, enroll your kids in school there and see how they roll out the red carpet for you. I'm sure Japanese people will be in tears over your plight.
what? A child is not going to prison with their parents if they committed a crime.. did the father have an opportunity to place a child with another adult? Actions/policies need to be protective of the child..Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:There was a more humane solution but ICE preferred to detain the child.

Schools have a responsibility to their students
ICE has no such responsibility. I know which is better

But also wondering - as the media and PPs are accepting at face value that the father has a pending asylum claim, per the attorney. I’m assuming, if he does, then he will be interviewed while in detention, as is still happening. It may be that he goes through the process and is not found eligible for asylum. What do you make of this?
It’s no use to be objective or logical with this crowd. The people want to be outraged, so the people will be outraged. There’s no such thing as a fake asylum claim! #believealleconomicmigrants
