No one is blaming her.

The person who called her a “gold digger” is gross.

But marrying two doctors? Very low odds of that happening for any given American woman. That is the truth.

Not so unusual if they all had a shared background. Apparently they were all ex alumni of the same college. Other times it can be a shared ethnic, religious or social background. Not so strange (at least in my circle)

Not at all. I'm married to a doctor, have lots of doctors in my family, know lots of doctors. The odds of my meeting another one, were I to divorce, are pretty high.

It's all about who is in your social circle.

I think the back door was probably unlocked and he let himself in through the door and found them upstairs in their bed and surprised them. There was no sign of a break in even after the coworkers went inside so that leads me to believe a door was unlocked.

Thanks, Sherlock.

It was reported that they met online -- not sure when. I believe all involved attended Ohio State -- dentist, wife, and surgeon. Her degree was in early childhood education; she worked at a daycare at some point.

Sounds gold digger-ish.

Can you try and not be a hortible person?

Different poster and this has nothing to do with the murder but it does seem that she was looking for men with money and wasn't really anticipating contributing much financially - which is kind of what a gold digger is. Just like when men with no money date rich women and live off of them. You just need to be attractive to pull it off.

You got all that from a news post? The woman is dead. Her children have no mother or father. And this is what you’re spewing out: your opinion about why she was married to the guy who was also murdered alongside her.

Your immaturity, PP, is not a good look.

Like I said, its irrelevant to the murder. But there are often discussions of peoples careers or lack thereof, money, and the dynamics in relationships after family involved murders.

What are you talking about??? She was educated and was working at the time of her divorce from husband #1 and marriage to husband #2. If she was a stay at home mom to two kids under five years old, how does that make her any different from any of the many dozens of SAHMs on this website who have an education, prior career and means to self-support but who have chosen to stay home with their kids for their early childhood???

Unbelievably disgusting to call her a gold digger. There are countless threads on this navel gazing website where women discuss their criteria for a husband, with profession and earning potential being primary among the criteria.

It’s clear she was looking for a doctor to support her so she could stay at home, likely indefinitely. And you are right, she is no different than a dcum lawyer who quit to stay at home, even though the lawyer might think she’s better than this daycare teacher. They are all traditional wives, and there is nothing wrong with that. If anything, it shows that the “decenter men” rhetoric on the left is just silly.

Of course there are plenty of women who want a man for money, and there are plenty of men who want a woman for specific traditional gender role things too. I feel the same about a woman whose criteria is he has money and I can live off him and he can buy nice things and give us a good life as I do about a man whose criteria is she can cook and clean and keep him satisfied in the bedroom. Both are about their own needs and wants.

A not insignificant number of women know from a young age that they want to be stay at home mothers and raise kids. To do that you need to have a husband who works and makes decent money. In order to get a guy like that, you need to bring something to the table – good looks, good education, and a decent personality. These women often get a degree in an early childhood education in order to prepare themselves to be better mothers. I personally know a handful of family than our social circle who we have gone down this well-trod path.

Exactly. I have friends that only dated doctors. They knew their priorities.

He's very unhealthy looking. Maybe he's taking drugs. Roid rage? Drug induced psychosis?
