U Michigan has wanted this coach to be gone for many months. Thought it had a way out that would negate severance payments.


Not sure why it would matter. He was paid for the work he did. Michigan is an at will employment state.

The university might be worse. They had to pay out a half billion dollars because a UM physician was alleged to have assaulted over 1000 people. Yet people here scream toxic football culture. The athletics department never had any scandal that large.
