There is every risk. It’s contracted when passing through birth canal. That immediate vaccine is vital. If one waits several months, it’s too late.
Many women don’t get tested or contract it after being tested. It’s the best way to prevent serious illlness and suffering. Have you ever seen anyone with hepatitis b? A child? With a totally preventable horrible illness?!
I stayed at home after birth for a couple years. Neither DH nor I had hep B. Why would my baby need it until daycare or school? I believe in vaccines but asked the pediatrician to space out the number of shots they were giving and they accommodated that.
Did you never go to a store, restaurant, shopping mall? Because if I did you could have been infected by anyone you passed. Don't vaccinate and run the risk that you are deliberately running the risk if infecting your child and if this happens then you have only yourself to blame and don't come crying to the rest of us if your child dies because you are a fool who believed a moron with a brain worm.

JFC don't travel, don't even drive by the airport. Fk it, stop breathing outside your house. Are you vaxxed for rabies? Do you wear a plastic suit so that you're impervious to ticks? Do you carry around bear spray? Are you really saying that hepB is actually the old Covid?
DP. I was also skeptical of the HepB vax at birth. Then I did a little reading about how Hep B is endemic in other countries and how it can be transmitted, and how it can result in serious consequences. I like most people in the US just don’t really know as much about Hep B as compared to say measles or polio. Once I understood it, it actually seemed like the most important vax to get and I was happy to do it right away.
Post some links. The most common references for people on this board are archaic religious texts, TikTok, or whichever echo chamber moron they listen to on Spotify.
Unless you're claiming that newborns are ambulatory or any normal parent is randomly jabbing themselves with foreign objects, how exactly does delaying the vaccine for this population lead to yout manic response?
https://www.who.int/news-room/fact-sheets/detail/hepatitis-b
"In highly endemic areas, hepatitis B is most commonly spread from mother to child at birth (perinatal transmission) or through horizontal transmission, especially from an infected child to an uninfected child during the first 5 years of life. The development of chronic infection is very common in infants infected from their mothers or before the age of 5 years."
"Hepatitis B is also spread by needlestick injury, tattooing, piercing and exposure to infected blood and body fluids, such as saliva and menstrual, vaginal and seminal fluids. Transmission of the virus may also occur through the sharing or reuse of contaminated needles and syringes or sharp objects either in health care settings, in the community or among persons who inject drugs. Sexual transmission is more prevalent in unvaccinated persons with multiple sexual partners."

But std tests are part of obgyn annual care…
People most at risk of Hepatitis B probably aren’t getting regular obgyn care. They might not even get regular prenatal care.
So why are we pushing more shots on all newborns?
Is this to camouflage the High Risk Moms amongst the and S T D Moms? Make everyone feel better?
Unlikely. It makes someone more money.
It’s both. We sacrifice healthy children so the unhealthy don’t feel targeted. It also provides a captive and legally shielded revenue stream.
What’s the craziest is all the people who want European style healthcare who freak out when we make our policies align with theirs more closely.
What'a crazy is thinking the US can mimic European health policies that succeed due to universal healthcare, when we don't have universal healthcare.

“Maybe seatbelts cause leukemia. No one has studied it, so we don’t know!!!! We must stop requiring seatbelts!” That’s how ridiculous these people sound.
Show the data on virus transmission rate among newborns with a "clean" mother. Your "it doesn't cause harm" argument is a slippery slope. Maybe it doesn't. But this argument is never valid.
Also, there is a financial cost and someone's making a boatload of money.
The "it's good for public health" argument is also specious. Ban alcohol (or at the least, advertising) to save livers then. It'd do way more good than a forced vaccine at birth, which can be given at a later date.
It was never “a forced vaccine at birth.” It was a recommendation, everyone has always had a choice. By taking back the recommendation, Kennedy has handed a win to insurance companies who will no longer pay for it.
You dumbos can’t see that everything these clowns are doing benefits big businesses and not the people. You should direct your efforts to investigating the finances of the clowns on this panel.
The entire premise of MAGA is mare money for billionaires and big corporations by convincing runs they are owning libs. It’s ALWAYS about more profits for corporations. Not recommending means no coverage.
+1
Also the revenue of the unregulated wellness industry is far higher than the pharmaceutical industry. RFK himself has made millions from his anti vaccine sh*t. Maybe follow who promotes anti vax stances while profiting from wellness crap.
I have no idea what data you’re looking at, but I find this almost impossible to believe
