Suffice it to say, there is zero respect. But it is very funny. Gallows humour.
Meanwhile, the Russians and Ukrainians are making enormous advances in drone warfare every month. The battlefield has changed forever. This is an incredibly important time for militaries everywhere. The speed of change is phenomenal.
And the US has decided to confront these threats…. by bringing every general in the world to Virginia for a lecture about grooming.
That’s the priority of a Fox News host as SecDef.
Hate this.

And by telling the whole entire world that our US military leadership will all be huddled up together in one place at the same time. I don’t have a military background myself, but, unless they’re deliberately releasing incorrect information, that doesn’t seem very prudent.

Whether an individual service member is able to resign or retire is entirely at the discretion of the government.
“Mucking up the gears from within” is sabotage and possibly treason, and not something one wants to be involved in while subject to the military justice system.

This seems like something awful is imminent. Theories? Facts?

The good ones are absolutely seething. The US military is the most powerful force in the world because it is professional and non-partisan. They swear an oath to the Constitution, not to the political hacks of the day.
But Trump and Hegseth are really moving hard to turn the military into a banana republic force that is nothing more than the lethal arm of the Republican Party, which is a cult of personality today. The party of Reagan, both Bushes, Romney, and McCain is dead.
It’s a dangerous time. It’s probably not a coincidence that Trump and Hegseth are meeting with Erdogan today. Lots of lessons to be learned from how Turkey has used the military to subvert democracy and embrace the cult of personality.
Republicans are a real threat to national security today.
You sound like a commonist!
