I haven't seen the video. Based off your description, it sounds like womens clothing. Was the "red shirt kid" a female?

This is what we have become, as society, just walk away. Don’t say anything. Don’t do anything. Let the kids kill themselves and don’t intervene. The adults are not responsible.
The child has (legal) protections that adult does not.
Here you go: 2 students holding the kid back while he’s still holding the knife.
I mean, why ever help as an adult at all, just let the kids handle it. WTAF is wrong with you?

I wonder if the same people here criticizing the substitute teacher for not jumping in to break up a stabbing, are the same people who thought the police officer should "throw a net over her" or "shoot the knife out of her hand" in that situation?
It's evident that a lot of posters here have no experience with violent individuals and have unrealistic thoughts about what could and should be done.
THERE WAS NO STABBING OR KNIFE INVOLVED WHEN THE SUB WALKS BY AND SNAPS A PHOTO.
yes, I meant to shout.

The absolute nonchalance of that employee is disgusting. The absolute nonchalance of the student body is disturbing.

You can't be serious. Why would a teacher risk their safety for some nonsense. And what did you expect the studrnt body to do? You want more kids stabbed. I tell my kids anytime there is an altercation, be it verbal or physical there is a high likelihood someone has a weapon. Do NOT get involved. I also live by this. I think the teacher did the right thing.
At the time the teacher walked by there was no stabbing going on. Have you even watched the video? I expect a teacher to say "hey, knock it off" and to tell the other students to stop congregating and disperse or at minimum immediately contact an SRO. There is no time of the essence in anyone. So is it Fairfax policy to just snap a photo and casually keep walking?
When your child is in FCPS building the school system is responsible for them. A teacher or administrator is a part of that. I don't expect anyone to jump into a knife fight so GTFOH with that angle. I do expect the adults to be adults. This lord of the flies attitude is insane.
Yes, the kids would have immediately stopped fighting if only an adult said that. Well done!
There is only one way to find out, because doing nothing got nothing. Your kids worth nothing?
My kids worth something. These kids? Maybe. It's their choice, at this point.
You’re questioning whether any of these kids are worth something. HFS. You’re awful.
Are they worth more than me being seriously injured without compensation? Probably not. If you saw a knife fight on the street would you intervene?
Reading must be hard for you: when adults were present, no knife fight was occurring. Read that over and over until that sinks in.
I'm not the PP you quoted.
How do you know what was not visible off camera? Were you there to witness it personally? Are you a child?

Anonymous wrote:The video is on X. It shows a kid fighting a bunch of people one by one, chaotic as if has no idea what he’s doing in the hallway during what appears to be the time in between classes (?). Then it cuts to him laying on the ground with blood, so the part where he is stabbed is edited out.
The kids are all just standing around, even when the injured kid is laying on the floor. I don’t see anyone rendering aid at all or anyone panicking. If this is real it’s beyond disturbing.
