Yeah it was weird bc she basically said, time for you to go, this baby is the future and you are the past. But Elizabeth is...pregnant and (to be frank) probably more likely to carry to full term and produce a healthy child. Whereas Spencer and Alex's son will very likely die (especially if he is going to be sitting out on that porch all winter...).
Cats was unnecessarily cruel to Elizabeth.

Cara is my least favorite character.
I like her a lot. She reminds me of my great grandmother, her daughters and others of her generation. She accepted the situation she was in and got sh*t done while also putting the men in their place when necessary.

The Duttons learned a little about Alex’s trip west yet somehow equally naive Boston Elizabeth is going to arrive safely on the east coast??? Maybe she is the widow that Spencer lands up with.
