It’s not being reported on Fox News, so GOP senators are not being inundated by their Republican constituents. If a Democrat contacts them, they will just think they are paranoid.

Apparently Bessent (the new treasury secretary) approved of Musk's access to the treasury. Which is probably why they see it is legal and will be treated as legal until courts declare otherwise.

I'd also like to point out that MSNBC/CNN routinely do not cover live Trump press conferences or interviews or certain topics when Trump is talking, so you can't accuse Fox for being selective without being hypocritical.

Bessent does not have the authority to give Musk access to these accounts. Musk isn’t a federal govt employee. Musk doesn’t have any clearances, much less the type of top level one necessary for this access.

Trying to gain access to the Federal Treasury without Congressional Approval is committing acts against the Constitution and against the people of the U.S.

Such actions and violations are punishable crimes:
-Misuse of Public Funds (31 U.S. Code § 1301)
-Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (CFAA) (18 U.S. Code § 1030)
-Breach of National Security (18 U.S. Code § 798)
-The Anti-Deficiency Act (31 U.S. Code §§ 1341-1342)

MUSK MUST BE ARRESTED immediately along with his entire team. The system needs to be completely scrubbed to find any code he added and change all access passwords.
THE SERIOUSNESS OF THUS CANNOT BE OVERSTATED.

I agree with you that what's happening is horrible, but Musk actually does have a top secret security clearance because of the SpaceX work.

Not for banking &
treasury.

NO! You are thinking far far too small. It’s so much BIGGER THAN THIS!!

WAKE UP PEOPLE!!

Musk has full control over the entire federal banking system. He can do anything he wants with it. ANYTHING. One persons SS payment is NOT what thus us about.

You people really really don’t f’ing get it. It’s time to panic. It’s time to lose your sh!t and freak the F out. This is def con one.

We should all be demanding our Dem Senators grind the senate to a halt until Musk is out. They have the tools to do it.

And for those asking who this benefits? Causing economic crisis creates bargains for Trump and Musk autocratic partners.

Just because you write this doesn't mean it is true. You wish it to be true, but until a court rules (and if there are court cases, I do assume it will go all the way to SCOTUS who will side with the Executive Branch because the Constitution places the bureaucracy under the Executive Branch).

The optics are certainly not favorable. Telling the country that a duly elected president who campaigned on reforming the Federal bureaucracy is blocked from giving his people access to government computer systems in his own agencies that report to him.... good luck in selling that to the public.

You are evil. Wrong, and evil.

Have you heard of special access or program only? TS isn't the end all be all.

Oligarchy
Any system of government in which virtually all political power is held by a very small number of wealthy but otherwise unmeritorious people who shape public policy primarily to benefit themselves financially through direct subsidies to their agricultural estates or business firms, lucrative government contracts, and protectionist measures aimed at damaging their economic competitors — while displaying little or no concern for the broader interests of the rest of the citizenry. “Oligarchy” is also used as a collective term to denote all the individual members of the small corrupt ruling group in such a system. The term always has a negative or derogatory connotation in both contemporary and classical usage, in contrast to aristocracy (which sometimes has a derogatory connotation in modern usage, but never in classical).

I know he was saying he wanted to get rid of it but that just sounds so absurd. Like he wants to collapse our economy.

And explain the purpose of these tariffs? Hmm?

That clearance only applies to subject matter relevant to SpaceX. It does not apply to everything.

Not really. Most of the "press" are corporate media who have bent the knee.

Trump also promised multiple times that he would not follow Project 2025.

Whether he lied about that or not, federal employees, including Musk, must follow the law, or face the consequences.

Firing prosecutors and FBI agents who investigated and prosecuted the J6ers is not going to allow people to break the law with impunity.
