Or if he’s terrible, well at least you’ll get custody and some spousal support, which is better than doing it alone.

The OP is from December 2024. In what world is that not current times? Granted, things are infinitely worse today than they were four months ago but still, it's not like this was from 2014. That being said, I was hoping the revival was from OP with an update, not someone wanting to say that you shouldn't be having kids because of the environment.
