Once 1-2 girls leave, most of the girls that can land on an ECNL team will head for the exits. I think that happens this upcoming year.

Doubt it. That team will attract scouts in the future

Lets finish puberty (with all 2012s). Start with others. Before we talk about scouts.

I don't see that happening, if anything, immigration could go the other direction. SYC12s are technical and athletic top to bottom -- why leave this team? SYC12s have guaranteed GA playoffs and national exposure every year, maybe not at the level of a top ECNL team, but good enough.

Guaranteed GA playoffs? They are currently only 3rd place in the mid-atlantic and only 2 make the playoffs so hardly guaranteed.

Thats not what is showing here:

SYC 12GA is in 1st place, undefeated after 8 games up on SJEB on Goal Differential, who is also undefeated after 9 games. But yes, it's not a guarantee to make the playoffs, the race is tight for the top teams.

I do think a few girls from ECNL, with little playing time and due to bloated rosters might try to come over to SYC GA. Conversely, I think a few kids might leave SYC GA and tryout for ECNL teams. Tryout season will be interesting indeed.

What 2012 ECNL team has a bloated roster?!

Team is good but let’s not get carried away here. Top to bottom is very similar to the other better teams in this area. A few not so technical, a few not so athletic and few that have both.

I don't think it will either--they also kept a small roster so everyone got to play. The 2012s in general are really strong across the board in the DMV, and if SYC 2012s are among the strongest in the country for GA we all know top GA girls teams get recruited. Playing time and being among the top in GA is going to be a hard ask for players to defect from that team. I think folks will try to get onto the team from other clubs.

Maybe at other clubs but not likely in this specific case.

The thread is about 2012 ECNL teams, more specifically ECNL teams that play in the same conference. There's nothing stopping you from making a GA thread with winless FCV at the bottom of the list, and VRSC with probably half of their wins against FCV.

We all know that the SYC 2012 team is strong are other SYC teams equally so?
