These players go to fall/winter/summer ID prospect camps to interact with coaches and see the campus on multiple occasions. It is a lifelong decision because of the alumni network and relationships that will last a lifetime. Many of these schools have amazing alumni networks and incredibly loyal alumni, especially for their lacrosse teams!
Not sure if this is the PP, but you didn't answer the question(s). Going to prospect camps in the summer since middle school isn't the same as being closer to a peer and actually hanging out with the team and students, getting a real feel for what will be their life and experience. Unless you're saying one school just always directs drills better for some girls, and that makes all the difference. So why not use multiple visit to these multiple great schools?

Maybe the kids had a pick of which school they wanted and the whole time they knew exactly which one they wanted....not sure why that is so hard to understand. If you are a sought after recruit you can pick where you want to go so if your dream school is Yale not a whole lot to consider.
And they knew they liked Yale best because of downtown New Haven and liked their unis. Thanks.

Congrats

It is also not like they are choosing community colleges. These are all great academic institutions. If my kids get a call from Yale saying "hey come to school here please" I am not going to lose any sleep over whether they should have gone to a better school...
If these are all great academic institutions, give us all the reasons why a student shouldn't take enough time to compare 3? 5? of them that have an interest? Figure out their fit, players, teams and coaches they get along with, immersed campus visit with other students.

"Thinking about" schools is a bare minimum. So why not compare great options?

No worries, I don't think any of these girls are Charlotte North prototype so I think Duke will be OK.

I know a lot of girls going on visits this week at some top-notch/highly ranked schools! Also, some big visits this weekend coming up! Exciting! I hear this year is moving at lightning speed, with almost double the amount of commits from last year at this time!
Yes, it's really exciting that more and more players are making what are effectively life-long decisions inside a week of speaking to anyone. Next year will go even faster!

is it really a life-long decision? more and more players are utilizing the transfer portal. it's a 1 year commitment these days.

That is why you choose the school first...I dont think anyone is transferring out of Yale, Duke or Dartmouth so they can play womens lax some place else.....come on

Four within first week, three ivies and three top 10. ‘26s off to a good start

What are the other 2 top 10 schools that Cap Blue has been committed to

2 Yale (top 10 and Ivy) and 1 Denver

on of the PP referenced 3 Ivy and 3 top 10. If one is Denver what are the 2 in the top 10

PP said four girls. 2 went to Yale which is both top ten and Ivy. Keep up.

1 week in and girls have found where they want to be. Very impressive and feels like life and lacrosse decisions. Very smart.
