The battleground poll also reveals the president gaining ground in six of the seven states surveyed.
**Michigan**
Biden: 48%
Trump: 43%
**Wisconsin**
Biden: 47%
Trump: 44%
This is why the Trumpers feverishly want Biden out. He can beat him. He HAS beaten him.
Can anyone explain this? It is pretty alarming to me to see more people willing to support Biden since the debate.
Trump is a once-in-a-generation unlikable candidate. People will vote for a well meaning Biden over a coup master criminal Trump.
Yes.
Really, more unlikable than Hillary? Apparently not. You are just like the Hillary people who were planning victory parties and toasting Nate silver. That’s exactly what they said about him then. You are the reason we keep getting stuck with idiots like trump. You sit in your limousine liberal coastal cities and think the rest of America can’t possibly see things differently than you do. He won the republican primary. He’s not unlikable to them, obviously! No swing voter is going to bother voting for a senile Biden just to vote against trump. So much arrogance in our party. We learned nothing from Hillarys defeat.

The Guardian (yeah, I know) is reporting that a neurologist who is an expert in Parkinson's Disease has been in contact with the White House. Looks like Biden has sun downer's associated with Parkinson's. He also has the stiff gate and lack of affect. He was better in the Stephanopoulous interview but still had that lack of facial movement and unblinking stare.
Joe Biden is tired and needs more rest.
Looks like Parkinson’s to me too. Damn I can’t believe he is doing this and that so many democrats are enabling him. What an ego. Lifelong democrat don’t know if I will ever vote for this party again. Damn. Is he just trying to force Kamala into the seat? That would actually be somewhat more honorable. I just don’t get how we got so broken. Is it time to dismantle the two party system? Would ranked choice voting help with that? Is there a 3rd party pushing that?
He doesn't have Parkinson's...not even close.
Right. He doesn't have Parkinson's. He has late-stage Alzheimer's.
Uh, no. Tell me you know nothing about Alzheimer’s disease without telling me. SMH
Tell me you're just making stuff up without telling me. SMH.
DP - you know absolutely nothing about Alzheimer’s and you are totally offending anyone here who deals with loved ones who live with it. You are an a-hole.

You are both in denial.
Nope, will take Biden and his administration any day over a narcissist like Trump.

I am sick of hearing people say the criticism of his debate or interview performance is some right wing conspiracy or yeah, but Trump is bad. He cannot win against Trump. He cannot be our president. He projects weakness and this will only get worse. We need strong candidates. 25th Amendment NOW!

This whole sh#tshow is going to backfire on the MSM. The center left of this country is really turned off by the inordinate focus on Biden’s debate presentation while Trump lied his #ss off the entire time.
I’m center left and I despise both. Trump obviously lied. The MSM has been obviously covering for Biden. Both situations are infuriating.
The MSM has been covering for Trump this entire election cycle. It's so bad that FOX News cuts away from Trump's rallies and events when he starts rambling incoherently (which is quite often).

Anonymous wrote:I’ll preface this by saying that I’m voting blue, matter who—-BUT, I’m in a state where the polls aren’t close and aren’t likely to tighten much, so my vote will count more in down-ballot races.
I think my frustration stems from the fact that I’m seeing my own mother in decline (in her late-80s), and there are so many similarities. I’d say 80% of the time she’s sharp, watches Jeopardy, does the NYT crossword daily. Then she can say or do something completely off the wall, that makes you doubt how much she might be covering up that 80% sharpness. I think a lot of us with aging parents in active decline can view this whole situation with a layered perspective…pity, understanding, but also despair and frustration.
Regarding my mother, when she has these lapses, she would deny having them (I don’t tell her about them because it would upset her), and NOTHING I say would convince her that her behavior was off. She simply wouldn’t believe it. And it isn’t a slow, linear decline, it’s a jagged pattern of plateaus and drops of cognition.
So rather than being stubborn, I think Biden really doesn’t have an idea how he’s coming off. He thinks he’s fine, and can’t see it differently. His close advisors and family want to protect him, I get it, but that’s not helping anyone now except themselves.
Because they’ll be fine, no matter what happens; they’ll get jobs as consultants or K Street lobbyists. Same with the news media, who need to report the news, but often go beyond it, trying to tell us how to think and whipping up a frenzy for ratings. They’ll be fine too.
So yes, I’ll vote. But I’m not the voter to target to get to 270. And I’m pretty disgusted with the whole business.[/quote
The problem is that the bolded applies as much to Trump as it does to Biden. Trump is a bizarre caricature of a human being who says and does crazy things all...the...time... and doesn't seem to realize it. He also has a core group of advisors and family who shield him from reality. He probably looks at himself on TV (which reportedly he does often) and thinks he looks youthful, virile, impressive, and even handsome, when in fact he looks ridiculous with the shellacked combover, the bronzer, the puffy face, the obese body, the bad suits, the poor posture and ungraceful walk, and the constantly irritated/grimacing/petulent-looking expression.

How many times has he declared he’s staying?
His family is in the WH supporting him, even his sister. He’s not leaving.
