Easy: stop grade inflection at each level. Have final exams written by the next level course teachers. Hold back students who do not pass. Focus on extra support in classes where we see students START to straggle.

Anonymous wrote:I’m sure I’ll be roasted for this but here goes: my daughter was one that got All A’s all three marking periods and we are so annoyed that the admin choice to get rid of the tradition to accommodate more. Instead of the special honor for All As which they have done in May for a long time, they made it all As and Bs so that more than tripled the award ceremony. Then to make matters worse instead of honoring the All As with an award they just had those kids stand up at their seats. How anti-climatic for those kids that strived for this goal.
