The book is about:
1. A Quaker school in DC (there is only one Quaker high school in DC),
2. A Quaker school that has educated President’s children, among other VIPs, and
3. The US principal in the book shares the same (unique French name) as the recently retired US principal, as well as other similar identifiers.

The author’s biography also alludes to the fact that she’s a graduate of the school.

It’s an elite Quaker school located on Wisconsin Avenue. If you read it and are at all familiar with DC and its private schools there is no question.

And I hear other private (and public) school parents and students love to hate Sidwell. We’re used to it because that’s what happens when you’re on top. Hi Sidwell hater. 👋
