This information is helpful for families deciding where to spend their money and time next year. We will be passing on Valor based on the overwhelming amount of negative info in this thread. Others may read through it and think it sounds great.
Oh no don’t base your opinion on that! Try it for yourself : post “hey what do you all think of {pick a club}” and then repeat with “hey what do you all think of {pick another club}” , you will get 90 pct negative feedback regardless of what is filled in the blank. Hell make up a club name!
People have posted positive experiences with other clubs in this thread. However, most people seem to have a negative experience with Valor. That's useful information to have before spending 3k+ on a year of kids soccer. If you are a Valor parent and love it, great. You should be thrilled about this thread--it will keep away lots of competition for your kids spot next year.
at this point the club wont have enough kids to form a team.
they have two enormous rec leagues to shop for players from-there is a neverending pipeline of naive new parents.

I was told that the club was told several other strong clubs were sending large numbers of teams, and they didn’t. Overall the team had a good time and got to know new teammates. They have played in several ‘better’ tournaments so nobody on our team has cared that I know about. A bunch of the players went to Busch Gardens on Friday and the families made a mini- vacation out of it. We went to Colonial Williamsburg too. For us, it was a nice weekend. I don’t understand the anger here. It was one of five tournaments the team is doing this weekend. Friendships were built. Good times were had. A lesson in history was given.
Reading this thread it seems like someone just isn’t happy, but that’s why there are tryouts.
Anger? Who's angry? Finding posting all over social media post after post after post of winning and getting second place at a subpar tournament is cringey and a little predatory even to incoming parents of athletes seeing a club posting about the wins like it was a state cup. It is was it is. The optics were not great whether anyone believes it wasn't done on purpose or not. Tons of clubs send teams to tournaments and brackets they have no business being in. This one was just over the top and I've not seen anyone else do it that badly and then brag so heavily about it. Looking back they were even pissing family breaks off kids with siblings winning in different teams.
Sorry you're upset people feel differently than you admit your club's actions.
DP. Why do you care so much about this? I can’t imagine getting this worked up about what some soccer club is doing that my kid doesn’t even play for. Not just this thread, but most of the threads in the past week or two have just been awful. I cannot understand why people are going out of their way to make fun of clubs, coaches, and even players, who they don’t even know. It seems like a pathetic attempt to gain some sense of superiority. What is missing in your life that you feel the need to do this?
You're the one worked up lol. If you don't play there why are you so up in arms about other people literally staying what this club is factually doing? You're trying to chastise people over their opinions not the other way around. Are you new here? This thread is literally what the whole vibe is on this site. ROFL

Well you’re certainly right about this. I think I am too normal for this place. The posts on this forum and the stupid “confirmed” joke show how deeply weird you all are. Have fun.
