Back in the day Columbia University forgot to send me my acceptance letter. I had to call and ask where it was.
And the other 75% are going to get disenfranchised…
At least send an email to ALL EA applicants- how hard would that have been???
Wait - did you just claim that the 75% of applicants whose decisions are yet to come are *disenfranchised*??![]()

OMG.
Yes, because this site has become woke. Everyone wants to see themselves as a victim

Uh, hello, VT is public. Those are my tax dollars you are giving away.
Yeah! F' the OOS peeps. The school is quite small as is..

Then it seems you would want ED back since that would yield more full pay kids.

This is true, but I think given the delayed FAFSA situation this year, quite a few kids may wait until May 1 to inform schools. My DC was at a large party Friday night. Three students who were accepted have already decided they won't attend VT (UGA, TN or Clemson and UVA), but didn't have plans to notify VT until their deadline. My DC also said quite a few kids were annoyed with the recent email and mid Feb notice. It sounds like many thought/hoped decisions would be released earlier given the lack of ED. I wonder if this confusing approach will hurt VT's yield. It helps VT to know some acceptances early so they can better manage yield. It helps students to know earlier so they can make a decision, especially if VT is their first choice.

Congrats to those in the first wave!
