I would like to see more, and I would like to see them out and about. If you don't want them in your neighborhood, send them to mine!

Terms on the Council are staggered so they can't all be voted out at once.
Of great importance is the fact that no one but JLG has a credible, electable challenger who is willing to be tougher on crime. Unless more such people come forward, any talk of "voting" is meaningless.
The recall process for those elected in 2022 can begin Jan. 1, and organized campaigns are already making plans (especially WRT Allen and Nadeau).

At this point, more cops would just lead to more catch and release, the core problems are upstream.
The Congressional Committee that oversees DC has had hearings and private meeting w/mayor and others, time for the Committee who oversees DOJ to get involved.
Mendelson lied under oath and said their is no crime crisis in DC.

You would first need to define crime, crisis, and crime crisis.
Exactly. Nothing can be fixed until progressives start living in the real world instead of the land of make believe.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:What if anything is the city council doing to hire more police officers now?

That would be disproportionate policing. Since every ward should have the same policing and a visible police presence is intimidating to some groups, no ward can have visible police presence. Are you not in favor of equality and equity?

Statistics are racist. Using anti-racist math and other ways of knowing, DC has the lowest murder rate in the US.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:OP. Just move. Take control of your own life. DC govt will not solve this for you.
+100. City life comes with some grit. Not sure why people move here expecting Mulberry Lane.
DC, Detroit, Denver, NYC, LA, Chicago, San Francisco, Paris, Copenhagen, London, Madrid, Sao Paolo--- all have criminals
I don’t know about Sao Paolo, but DC is far more dangerous to than all of these cities. It has more murders per capita than any major city in the Northeast and the West Coast. The only big city in America that comes close to the crime here is New Orleans and St Louis.
Regarding crime, London, Paris, Madrid, and Copenhagen are bucolic, sleepy hamlets compared to DC. Excusing the crime as just part of city life is a slight to other less murdery cities.
No, they are not less murdery. The only difference is that people kill with knives b/c they have less access to guns.
Nonsense. The murder rate in Copenhagen is 1.6 per 100,000 residents. In Washington DC, it's 32 per 100,000 residents.
The criminal class in DC is much more murder-y than almost anywhere on the planet. We have an incredibly violent population here. It's not remotely comparable to almost any city in the world. To say that things in DC are no different than in London, Paris, or Madrid is delusional.
Exactly. PP is acting you can’t Google murder statistics by year and a city’s population. Facts are not your friend PP. DC is incredibly dangerous compared to city’s its size in America, and much more dangerous than cities in Europe.
DC has more than five times the murder rate of NYC. Let’s not even start comparing it to Copenhagen.
I'm just quoting progressives.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:I'm sure they would buy their superiors have determined that, because almost all perpetrators of crime in DC are black, prosecuting crime in DC is racist.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:They need to start doing stings..walk an officer down the street in a Canada goose and have a jump out
Entrapment. Illegal.
WRONG. NOT entrapment. Signed. Federal Prosecutor.
Maybe you should be busy prosecuting some individuals instead of posting here. Very truly yours, citizen.
Wow you're so cool and edgy 🙄
