Although Judy Collins is beautiful, the version in the movie CODA (Child of Deaf Adults), is extremely moving. The story is of a CODA whose parents expect her to give up her life to support the family business as their interpreter and their guide between them and the outside world. But she loves and wants to perform music. She gets a referral from her music teacher and an audition to a very hard to get into music academy. Her family feels betrayed, but she convinces them how much she loves music and they agree she needs to live her own life. Both Sides Now is her audition. And her family comes in during her audition and she both signs and sings the song and it beautiful and tear-jerking.
If you love the song, you need to watch.
Thank you, that was beautiful!

Um. Judy Collins didn’t write “Both Sides Now.” That’s Joni Mitchell.
Agree the Emilia Jones cover in the movie gives me the chills. But it isn’t a Judy Collins song.
Um. The PP was responding to my post in which I said that Judy Collins was my favorite VERSION of Both Sides Now. Which it is.
