According to SCOTUS, it is legal to take bribes in many circumstances. Just this term they said it was fine so long as you do the favor first, and then get the bribe afterward.

Other exceptions are where you take the bribe in the form of private planes trips, stays at fancy resorts, an RV, tuition for your son, or a free house and home renovations for your mother.
