I love being able to walk down to the GW parkway from my house and run on the trail. I also have a really nice commute over the Wilson bridge or through Old Town to get to my office, or metro if I prefer. What’s not to like? Neighborhoods in falls church or Arlington where we used to live were nightmares. Landlocked and horrid commutes.
Wait, are you saying that you live in Fairfax County and you are not next to a sound wall for I-66?

Why does your car require that it be brought to Fairfax? I would not go somewhere that I find to be “hellish”for my car. I’d find a place close to where I live instead.
I answered the question already. I bring it to the NMW dealer for service. It’s where the previous owner bought the car. It’s not really out of the way between my two houses. I basically have to drive through hell (Fairfax County) to get from my city house to my country house anyway.

You mean my friends who have elementary and middle school aged children who live in Arlington, many of whom have switched their children to private in the past year or two?
Right. Them. They can’t speak to how the schools were 10, 20 or 30 years ago. Just as I said.
