Isn’t that her ex? Besides, the whole point of that article is to show she’s not independently wealthy. She makes Congress pay, and she owns a house. That’s about it. Comfortable isn’t the same as wealthy, especially when we’re talking about politicians with national visibility.
It says she doesn't have $20 million - but that she was earning almost half a million per year. Maybe in your world that isn't rich, but in mine it sure is.
