You and I must have a different definition of “pretty good.” The highest ranked schools I saw were the University of Michigan, UVA and Georgetown (about 1 admit per school). I didn’t see a single Ivy, or even a top 20 university.

That’s pretty mediocre in my world.

Of course, UofM, UVA, and Georgetown are great universities. However, at least a handful of Holy Child’s students should be heading to higher ranked universities on an annual basis—if you’re going to be snobby.

There are other things to be snobby about...namely your good looks and family wealth. These girls don't need to go to top schools to be successful. That's for the strivers of the world.

So what happens when a Holy Child student crosses paths with her superior? That would be an equally good looking and wealthy Sidwell, GDS, NCS, Holton (1st tier), Stoneridge, Visitation, Maret (2nd tier), or Bullis (3rd tier) student?

Answer: She should drop the pretense or risk getting her feelings hurt.

Their life trajectories are going to be entirely different. My NCS daughter and friends will end up being Big law associates and medical residents. They'll work really hard and some will end up being very successful and wealthy. The Holy Child girls will end up marrying commercial real estate or finance guys and end up being very wealthy. There is very little cross over between the two worlds (a tiny handful of NCS girls who are in this Holy Child world and of course they are the popular NCS girls). There are some STA or Sidwell boys who want the NCS girl but many (most?) want the HC girl. Can you blame them?--they are beautiful, fun, etc. For what it's worth, I have the intellectual NCS type so I am not glorifying this phenomenon, just reporting on it.

Sorry to hear about your NCS daughter’s plight. My beautiful AND brilliant daughter attends one of the Tier 1 schools listed above, and she has no shortage of male attention and dates.

I would feel bad for any Holy Child student who tried to act snobby around her—lol.

Oh come on do you really think NCS parents are posting any of this? I highly doubt the HC booster is an adult either. Pretty obvious the teens have found this thread.

My daughter is at NCS and has nothing negative to say about HC, Holton or really any other school. They don't view other schools as competition. In fact they are friends with many girls from a variety of schools. So silly for anyone to try to pit them against each other. There is room for all to be happy and do well at their individual schools.
