How about the man sleeping at Turtle Park? Charging his phone, also visibly touching himself. The police explain that he’s the child of an older couple who live in the neighborhood who has been kicked out of their home. Also apparently ok.

With the more appealing City Ridge open just up Wisconsin Ave, Cathedral Commons seems to have entered a downward spiral of sketchiness. A Carjacking in the garage, aggressive panhandlers on the plaza, a homeless person living and regularly exposing himself in the ATM lobby of Wells Fargo Bank. All under the watchful eye of the 2nd District police next door. What's next?!

You keep saying "regularly" but there has been a singular complaint on the CP listserv.

If the law needs to be changed, do it, otherwise 2D needs to be pressured to enforce it. CC Pinto and the mayor on all comms.

We all should. Apparently he is there naked in his sleeping bag which he drops down for the full monty. This is happening over and over in Cathedral Commons? that's literally 2D backyard!

There is a really disturbing post today on the cleveland park listerve about being flashed by a man who lives in a sleeping bag in the wells fargo entrance by cathedral commons. The police responded and did nothing claiming he was known to them and it was an anomaly. The person whoe reported it followed up with the bank, and they said they had reported him many times.
What the hey? It's OK for men to repeat flash people now? I was flashed as a kid and it was a horrible experience. The police took it very seriously. Is it fine for this guy to flash all the neighborhood? Sounds like the guy who attacked the toddlers at the preschool frankly--just left to do his business over and over!

That shelter is for women and children. Those in front of Giant are neither.

There are several women who hang out together while panhandling next to the CVS. One can assume that some of the men are connected to to women who live at the shelter. We didn’t see this number of street people before the shelter opened - which was supposed to address homelessness, not serve as a magnet to attract more street people to the immediate area.

This is terrible! Are the police not allowed to do anything anymore? I get that feeling…

Wouldn't be welcoming.

This is how we make Ward 3 more welcoming.

And inclusive!

Maybe the police can't locate the bank. After all, it's only practically next to the police station.

This is depressing. I’ve never really liked that area but I don’t like seeing what it’s become.

Get used to it or move. There’s a new sheriff in town.
